I purchased this to carry my Koi watercolor box, a watercolor sketch book (roughly 5x8), water brushes, pencils, eraser, sharpener, cloth and reading glasses. This little bag works perfectly and holds everything! My only hesitation in buying was no shoulder strap, which would have made it perfect- but I will still rate it 5 stars because I knew this case had no shoulder strap when I ordered it. It was perfect for all my art needs (I have other smaller or larger bags but this one was just right)! I wanted to write a review because I hadn't seen much about using this case for art purposes and I wanted to let folks know that it worked out really well for myself.This is perfect for someone who like to hold and mark a book. I have all my colored pens, my note book and Bible all in one place. Everything fits neatly, and there is a little extra room in the pocket for a few items.Perfect fit for my Bible. Enough room for sticky notes and pens/ highlighters.This is a really good book cover for the book you are currently reading where you can have a standard A5 size to small books and a A5 or small notebook and some pens, a highlighter or highlighters, some post-its and some stickers maybe in the pocket with ease. However there are two major drawbacks to this zippered book cover: 1)the inside pocket simply has a flap and is not secure so things fall out, and 2) the the handle is on the wrong side, or perhaps it is the zipper that is installed wrong but either way it is inconvenient, other than that it is a nice book cover and very functional, I carried the book I was reading and two 120 page notebooks for notes and vocabulary, I like to underline and write in the margins of books I read, so I carry a highlighter, and several pens of different colors, with each color being used for different reasons and the velcro insert has a place for all of the pens and the pocket is perfect for the 6 inch ruler, i use for underlinig.I'm not a fan of the pen flap in cases like this so I love that it is removable. I'm using this for my A5 bullet journal next year and I love the space, and the handle.I love my new bookcase it is easy to carry, have lots of room for pens, papers, etc.My Bible fits in it perfectly, it protects like it suppose too and you can stash your pens and a few small things in it. Can't beat it
