I am gave these a 'soft test' by packing all my similar travel organizers inside one of the cubes. Review updated 10-07-2017 with field test information. As is my habit, pros and cons below:PROS:-advertised dimensions are accurate to within 1/2 to 1/4 of an inch-no apparent assembly flaws-zippers are on track and move well-color is pretty accurate as to what I see on my monitor-Smallest cube zipped up just fine and does not appear to be straining despite being pretty full--currently contains the other 2 cubes from this set plus one more set of 3 from the same company, a toiletries bag and a 3-part shoe bag of similar material, and the 2 large, heavy-duty zip-top plastic/vinyl bags the packing cubes came in (which I foresee will be useful as a dirty laundry separation unit).UPDATE: all cubes performed admirably for keeping clothes organized and easy to find during the trip, made packing easier by providing a good way to check items off the packing list even if the backpack wasn't ready for them yet, and even provided light compression (did not attempt to test their max capacity.) And the plastic bags they were shipped in DID make excellent laundry bags (even after a plastic zip temporarily came off its track and had to be re-threaded. Bonus!)NEUTRAL/CLARIFICATION/FYI:-It should be noted that they are packed for 'cosmetic purposes' in the listing photos--these are soft-sided bags made of thin material and will slouch about quite lazily if not filled :). This comes in handy for storage (see above note about cubes-in-cubes)-There was a bit of 'manufacturing debris'--loose threads, clearly of the same type as the cube was sewn with and a few tiny bits of plastic--(nothing gross, let me be clear!) inside the bags on arrival.-They pucker around the seams a bit. This doesn't bother me in the least, but those craving military precision (possibly good candidates for packing cube purchasers?) may find it a tad vexing. All Borderline Cons Negated by field tests:-The total weight of all the bags together feels like more than 2 pounds (as mentioned above, 6 cubes, the empty toiletries bag, 2 zip-top vinyl shipping bags, and the shoe bag). This was heavier than I expected and I will need to field test them to see if the weight is a problem. UPDATE: weight was NOT a problem.-I can't recommend filling the cubes the point of strain, since the stitching all seems to be single row and therefore not what I consider heavy duty. These seem more suitable for organization than for compression. UPDATE: Provided light compression without failing and successfully survived the laundry upon return home! These are the bargain answer to a better-organized, more efficient shared suitcase. :)
